Bicycles With That Classic Motorcycle Feel -- Custom Chopper Bicycles

Are you a motorcycle enthusiast? Or perhaps you simply like bicycles, but want a bike with the classic chopper motorcycle look: a lower seat set far back over the rear wheel, a set of high handlebars, and a sleek, "streetwise" look. If so, then you are looking for a model called a "chopper bicycle." Whether it's for yourself -- or a very fortunate young person -- here are a few places you should check out if you are in the market to buy a custom chopper bicycle --
Out in Redding, California, is an outfit called Bicycle Designer. They have a large variety of custom chopper bicycles for you to choose from. For example, if you are looking for something inexpensive for a child you can purchase their "Classic Low rider" for well under $200! If you want, you can go up to $549 for their "Super Deluxe Gold" custom chopper bicycle -- different colored frames, different styles of handlebars and grips -- these custom chopper bicycles can even be ordered with different types of pedals, seat posts, seats, sissy bars -- also all types of steering wheels. You can even order this custom chopper bicycle with gold dice valvecaps!
Many of you, I'm sure, fondly remember riding your chopper bicycle from the 1960s and 1970s. If you would like YOUR kids to have that same experience, you should check out Bucks County Choppers. This firm stocks and sells many different types of bicycle parts for these "Old School" bicycles. If you want to construct your own custom chopper bicycle, or simply repair an older model, you can purchase such things as chains and chain guards, frames, handlebars, forks, pedals, banana seats -- the list simply goes on and on!
Another great source of custom chopper bicycles is Celtic Cycles. You may choose a custom design such as the "hot Rod," "the spider," "low ride," and "dirty". My favorite is the spider -- it has a traditional low-rider frame, with green colored wheel spokes, and what appears to be a network of green-colored metal rods in a cobweb-like design attached around the handle bars, over the rear wheel, and the chain guard area -- riding this, your child will look just like Spiderman. Way cool!
Speaking of cool -- if you're looking for some really cool designs in custom chopper bicycles, head over to the great folks at Firebikes. They have several great-looking models to choose from. One of the ones that I like best is called "FBR". This custom chopper bicycle is really a -LOW- Rider. The one I'm looking at has a frame which is completely black -- handrolled and welded, with triple tree forks and one-piece cranks. This custom chopper bicycle also supports 24 inch wheels. You can also purchase it in a silver frame color as well. This is a custom chopper bicycle I'd like to own -- for myself!
